Trusting God’s Design for Your Body – Shifting From Frustration to Faith in Healing
Dear Friend,
I want to be really honest with you — I’ve had days where I’ve been so angry with my body. Mostly with my anxiety. It always seems to pop up out of nowhere, and no matter how hard I try, I can’t control it. I’ve felt frustrated, defeated, and sometimes even mad at myself for not being “better” by now.
Maybe you’ve been there too. That place where you feel like you’ve tried all the things that are supposed to help, but nothing seems to work the way you hoped.
I know that feeling deeply. I chased after solutions for a long time — breathing techniques, supplements, routines — and while some of them had their place, none of them reached the root of my anxiety the way God’s presence has. The real turning point for me came when I realized that I was drifting, trying to manage it all on my own. In His gentle way, God spoke to my heart: “You cannot do this without Me.”
That truth broke something open in me.
Now, when anxiety comes (and yes, it still does), I’ve learned to stop fighting against it. Instead, I sit down with my Bible, I pray, and sometimes I simply cry. I’ve come to see that even tears are a form of prayer — a way of pouring out what I can’t put into words. And in those moments, God’s strength meets my weakness, just as He promises: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
I want to remind you of something important: God’s design for your body is not broken. You were made to heal. He makes no mistakes. Your story, even the hard and frustrating parts, are not outside of His plan.
When frustration rises up, here are a few ways I’ve learned to shift back into faith:
Rest – Give yourself permission to pause. God designed rest to restore us, body and soul.
Encouraging Scripture – Keep verses close that remind you of His strength and care. “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34).
Community – Surround yourself with people who will pray with you, remind you of truth, and point you back to God’s faithfulness when you can’t see it.
If you are carrying frustration with your body today, I want you to hear this as if I were sitting across from you, holding your hand: You are not a mistake. God is not finished with you. And even in the tears, even in the anxiety, He is close.
May you find comfort in knowing that you don’t have to do this alone. God designed your body with care, and He is the One who holds your healing.
With love and faith,
Jacquelynn
